Members of Council 1682 in Cuero and Council 2480 in Yorktown saw a need and delivered, literally. These councils donated a total of 4 wheelchairs to Holy Family Hospital in the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani, Ghana, Africa. They also contributed the cost of the shipping. Father Richard Bediako and Father Paul Otchere are both from the Diocese of Sunyani, Ghana and are currently Associate Pastors serving the Catholic Community of Cuero. Father Richard said, “the wheelchair mission is
absolutely a fantastic project helping our hospital in Ghana, as they are being used to carry patients to various places in the hospital." It is estimated a donated wheelchair can effect the lives of 10 people.
