The 15th Annual Knights of Columbus Charity Golf Tournament was held on a picture-perfect Wednesday at The Courses at Watters Creek in Plano. Under clear skies and with temperatures rising from a cool 70°F morning to the upper 80s by afternoon, 117 golfers across 29 teams gathered for a best-ball scramble with a purpose.

The tournament brought together Brother Knights, community members, and guests for a day of fellowship, fun, and fundraising. Thanks to their collective generosity and spirited competition, the event raised over $11,000 for local charities—chief among them St. Vincent de Paul—and an additional $25,000 toward retiring the loan for the beautiful Adoring Angels stained-glass windows behind the parish altar.

Tournament scoring ranged from 52 to 79, with a median of 65. Prizes were awarded to both the top-tier and second-tier teams, ensuring everyone had a shot at glory. Joe Cotter’s team took home the top honors with an astonishing score of 52—20 under par!

Beyond team awards, golfers competed in contests on more than half of the 18 holes, and every participant walked away with a door prize. For a full list of winners, visit SetonParish.org/KCGolf-Winners.

The event’s success was made possible by the dedication of eight core committee members who began planning back in December, 30+ day-of volunteers, and another 30+ donors who provided wine, alcohol, gift cards, and prize items. Their contributions exemplify the spirit of service that animates our Order.

As one participant shared, "This is one of the best golf tournaments I’ve ever played in." A sentiment echoed year after year, and a testament to the hard work of our Brother Knights.

Thank you to all who made this year’s tournament a resounding success!
