On Friday, November 28, 2025, Knights of Columbus Alamo Council 4298 joined fellow Knights in supporting two simultaneous Coats for Kids distribution events at Ascension DePaul Ministries and the Catholic Charities Guadalupe Community Center. Through the leadership of the Texas State Council and the dedication of our Diocesan Deputy, more than 2,000 winter coats were distributed to at-risk children throughout the Archdiocese of San Antonio.

The effort served families in communities where more than half live at or below the federal poverty level. Beyond meeting an immediate need, the events connected families with local services aimed at helping break the cycle of poverty—living out the Corporal Work of Mercy of clothing the needy.

These coordinated efforts demonstrate the power of unity among councils, partners, and volunteers, and reaffirm the Knights of Columbus’ commitment to serving Christ by serving those most in need.
