Since 2001, the St. Paul the Apostle Knights of Columbus Council #12021 and Men's Club in Richardson, Texas, have hosted the White Rose Golf Classic, an annual four-man scramble that includes food, awards, and a raffle. On October 25, 2024, over 30 teams competed.
The 2024 tournament raised $60,000 and, with a matching grant from the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council’s Culture of Life Fund and Ultrasound Initiative, provided a much-needed new ultrasound machine for the White Rose.
On June 4, 2025, a Mindray DC-70 ultrasound machine was installed at the White Rose. Fr. John Szatkowski of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church celebrated Mass in the chapel and blessed the new machine.
It was with a mix of hope and solemnity that Men’s Club, Knights and White Rose volunteers gathered around this machine, knowing the purpose it would serve, the hearts it would convert, and the lives it would save.
In August, a check was received from the Supreme Office Ultrasound Initiative Fund for $14,725. The check was presented by SK Chris A Curto to a grateful White Rose Director, Julie Eichelman.
This year’s White Rose Golf Classic will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Firewheel Golf Park in Garland. If you are interested in participating in the event or donating to this great cause, please visit www.stpaulmc.org.
