Knights from Council 7850 in Plano joined hundreds of fellow believers at the 2025 Christian Prayer Breakfast of Collin County, held at the Plano Event Center on Thursday, May 1—coinciding with the National Day of Prayer.
Founded in 1999 by seven local business and community leaders, the annual event unites Christians from across Collin County to worship Jesus Christ, pray over civic needs, and grow in fellowship. Organized by a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the breakfast is rooted in the belief that faith must be nourished even amid secular work and public life.
Attendees this year heard from keynote speaker Larry Ross, founder and CEO of A. Larry Ross Communications. Ross, described by Newsweek as the “Point Man for God,” shared insights from his four-decade career in faith-driven public relations. He served for over 33 years as personal spokesperson for Rev. Billy Graham and has represented faith leaders such as Pastor Rick Warren and Bishop T.D. Jakes, as well as organizations including Promise Keepers, Compassion International, and Answers in Genesis.
Ross’s testimony was a stirring call for Christians to proclaim their faith boldly, not only in church settings but across every cultural domain. His address highlighted the power of Christian witness through media, politics, and global outreach—reinforcing the event’s mission to “lift up Jesus so that all people might be drawn to Him.”
Knights present included Ron Engler, Mike Melone, Craig Robinson, Richard Mott, James Goode, Edward Stankunas, David Kistner, and Tom Juneau.
Background and Purpose
Held annually on the first Thursday in May, the Collin County Christian Prayer Breakfast fosters community among believers of all denominations. Speakers over the years have included devoted Christians with backgrounds in ministry, public service, and business, each offering testimony of Christ’s transformative role in their lives.
As the Scriptures declare, “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow” (Philippians 2:10). Events like this help ensure that the light of Christ continues to shine across Collin County—and beyond.

Clockwise (l-r) are Ron Engler, Mike Melone, Craig Robinson, Richard Mott, James Goode, Edward Stankunas, David Kistner and Tom Juneau.
