The new Fourth Degree Exemplification was held in San Angelo on April 5th. The Degree has a new format which was first held in New York City, but was held for the first time with its new revisions.
Abilene Assembly #1116 co-hosted with San Angelo Assembly #1098 as the new ceremony is designed to be held in Cathedrals and had been originally set for Holy Family in Abilene before the changed to the second host city for this new ceremony, held at Sacred Heart Cathedral. There will be two more Exemplifications of Patriotism in Texas. The 2nd is going to take place in Corpus Christi on May 3rd and the last one in Texas will be held in Dallas on June 14th. Corpus Christi and Dallas are open to any 3rd Knight, if they can make it. As with our CUF ceremony for new Knights, family and friends are welcome to come and observe.
We had 73 new Sir Knights who came from across the state who made their exemplification including one priest, Rev. Paul Kodakarakaran.
Dignitaries at the Exemplification included State Deputy Ron Alonzo, Vice Supreme Master Pat Conway, State Charities Director Joe Jacobo, San Angelo Diocesan Deputy Greg Huffman, Host District Master 5 Giovani Hyppolite, DM Master 3 Kevin McGillis, DM 4 Joe Saavedra, DM 6 Blake Krass, Marshall Jesus Granado, Immediate Former DM 5 Marty Ledesma, Former DM 5 Tony Schillo, and co-host Faithful Navigators from San Angelo Assembly #1098 Emit Lopez and Abilene Assembly # 1116 Curtis Cleveland.
